Spring Dance Recital

MacKayla has been taking ballet and tap this year. She had her second recital on April 18th. She loves taking dance and had the cutest outfit. She loved having her hair and make-up done. She wants to take dance again in the fall.

It was time for the yearly picture taking session. I usually schedule the appointment at least a week in advance, have their outfits picked out and their hair just perfect. This time, we were at the mall, made a quick decision, bought new clothes and took some pictures...they turned out pretty good for not being planned.

Our Greatest Gifts

Each night as I'm feeding Joe before bed I get a moment to reflect upon the day and the one thing that always comes to mind is the love I have for my kids. We have been blessed with their beautiful personalities and sweet spirits in our home. I hope that I have taken a moment each day to express this to them. These are two of my favorite pictures of our kids, just taken on a fun night of play in the backyard.

Joe Joe's 1st Birthday!!

We had a little celebration for our little guy...just us and grandma Penny and grandpa Mark. Little Joe got a bunch of Tonka cars and a race track. We're pretty sure that MacKayla had more fun with it than he did.

We bought a small cake from Dick's Market and obviously Joe wasn't afraid to dig in, unlike his sister on her first birthday. He loved his cake!
Just a little bottle of milk to wash down that delicious chocolate cake...mmmmm...yummy!
